Potential challenges that you might face when undergoing revision rhinoplasty

Due to disappointing results of rhinoplasty, many patients might have to undergo revision rhinoplasty.

Also termed as a secondary rhinoplasty, it is a surgical procedure, which is used to correct the previous nose job flaws as per the wishes of patient.

It is either performed on the outer side of the nose or on the tip in order to give an aesthetically appealing look to the patient. However, at times, when patient gets aesthetically appealing nose but experiences problem with the overall functioning of the nose then also he or she might need to undergo revision rhinoplasty from an expert specialist in nyc.

With these issues, there are potential problems that an individual might have to face. This is because after the first rhinoplasty, scar tissue is common to occur, which might result to nasal wound. There might be cases, when during the primary nose job, supporting bone and tissue would have removed and revision rhinoplasty would become extremely challenging to perform.

Likewise, when too many tissues are removed, revision rhinoplasty is difficult to conduct because specialist would need to borrow cartilage from another part of the body and replace it with the missing structure, thus making it both aesthetically pleasing and functional. However, to conduct this operation, specialist needs to have extensive experience.

In order to reduce an overly long nose or to correct a drooping nasal tip, specialist needs to have best precision and experience so that a successful revision rhinoplasty can be performed.

No matter whatever correction are to be made, swelling and bruising are common to happen. Though, it would not stay for a long time, but patient need to take utmost care of himself or herself. After few weeks, surgeon will remove the dressing, which would give a stiff feeling to the patient. In order to recover fast, patient is recommended to abstain from any strenuous activity for at least eight weeks. This is because activities can cause injury to the nose and hinder the process of recovery.

The overall time of surgery is lengthier than primary rhinoplasty. Moreover, it also tends to be more costly because either general anesthesia or a combination of local anesthesia and sedation is used to make the patient unconscious. In addition to this reason, as patient is going for the surgery second time, it is quite obvious that the total cost of primary and revision rhinoplasty would cost heavy on one’s pocket.

Snore no more with rhinoplasty

He is happy his wife is even happier “Snores no more” she chuckles as my neighbors pack their bags to meet their surgeon for Rhinoplasty. Open Rhinoplasty or ‘nose job' has emerged as a savior for those suffering the trauma of sleepless nights while their partners doze off. The culprit of snoring is most of the time an innocent fellow usually victim of blocked nasal passage, allergy, a swollen uvula moving with every breath or a broken nose.

Problem with snoring is that it not only disturbs personal relationships as the partner spends sleepless nights, but it is also leads to other serious problems like to heart disease and high blood pressure. Habitual snorers are prone to sleep disorder called ‘sleep apnea’ it may further lead to many other health issues like
  • Interruptions in breathing (10 sec. or more) that results due to blockage of airway
  • Waking up frequently during sleep
  • Light sleeping
  • High B.P. results in strain on heart that means higher risks of heart attack
  • And overall poor night sleep that interferes with the productivity of next day
The rhinoplasty nose surgeon in NYC says “The most common reason for snoring is Deviated Septum which is actually the cartilage covered by skin that divides your nostrils and that is something which could have gone totally unnoticed  if the snoring went missing”.

There can be two factors that may lead to deviated septum issue

1. By birth: the child’s might get curved due to pressure in birth canal

2.broken nose: that healed wrongly an estimate says 80 percent times nasal septum is dislocated off-center. The nasal septum continues to grow to till the age of 18 so normally patients are not operated till they turn eighteen.

Sometimes a trauma or a mishap results in shift of internal cartilage that interrupts their breathing. In case of an accident the nose the nose can be best repaired in two weeks after two weeks they set themselves in fractured in positions.

All these problems and one solution Rhinoplasty which also has something to look forward too as nose is the one the most prominent feature of our face a smoother nose, a removed bump a straightened curve would definitely bring more likes on your Facebook post if not a role in next big flick!

It is not a strenuous procedure all you need is a weeks off  at the end of which  the cast plaster is removed and you can take move to heavier work within 2 weeks but it might take a little longer to get the right look

So do not tolerate those nasal vibrations anymore, remember, “Breathing is healthy when it’s quiet.”
